Orientation M208

I became an SM (Station Master) for the first time in my entire life in IMU! I paired up with Kelvin, Anthony, and the brains behind all, Sanjeet Singh! It was fun fun and more fun for us and hopefully for the juniors!

The plan goes like this: We will have 2 volunteers from a group, a guy and a girl. They are to be married to each other in a tribal manner. They will be told to choose another guy and a girl to be their best man and bridesmaid. The bride will need to set her hair properly for the wedding, hence her hair shall be dipped with hair gel ( our secret concoction of starch and green paint) by the rest of the female group members. The other male team members on the other hand, will be asked a series of anatomy questions which involve drawing various organs on the body of the groom! Later, everyone will be asked to make a palm print on their shirts with the hair gel. The team members excluding the 4 participants of the wedding, will have to do the cha cha and sing shout their cheer at the same time! Then when they return, the wedding will begin. A priest, normally the Orientation Officer, will oversea the wedding properly, while the other girl members in the team will cheer, and the guys will cry. And the plan ends here!

Bonus points include:

1) a team member having a pair of crocs, which will do something like this

2) team members does cheer loud and clear and can be heard from vista condos

3) makes wedding funny to make us all laugh!

The discrimnation towards crocs is because me and Kelvin wore crocs in our own orientation and it hurt us like hell! Fond memories came flooding back when we saw the crocs… Unfortunately only 2 people got croc-ed~

A fun orientation for all yet again!

Melvyn’s 20th

Another batchmate’s birthday to celebrate! This time it’s Melvyn’s 20th, and he has graciously invited us to this hip and happening new club at Sunway Hotel. It is named Euphoria by Ministry of Sound. I love the way they name the ministry, it is as if the government is actually encouraging us to club!

We got there before 10.30pm as there was this event going on with free cover charge for everyone as long as you know the password! Melvyn opened 2 bottles of Chivas and it was drained in 15 minutes. It’s an exaggeration but that was how it felt.

It was gone in a flash and the 30 plus people who were invited there soon found themselves in the middle of the roller skate rink like dance floor, feeling their insides vibrate to the sound of the bass coming from 4 separate bass producing speakers.

It felt like an earthquake in there and the feeling was just superb. Bodies moved to the music as lights of different colors bathed the whole scene with color rivaled to those in a Star Wars laser fight!

Smoke machines were going on overdrive as it filled the whole floor with smoke till we were blinded. The no smoking rule made the air in the club breathable and i actually enjoyed it very much!

Stroboscope like lights flashed ever once in a while, and witnessing my hand movements in a slow motion like effect was just interesting to watch!

It was another fun day at the club again, but i must say, it wasn’t as fun as Aloha. But i still got to enjoy the night with good company, with new and old friends, great music, and after clubbing KFC~ ROFL

Thank you guys and girls again for the spectacular night!

Oh well, my only consolation is that we at least bagged a medal.

Sorry guys if i let you all down

Pui San’s 21st

The annual event of celebrating Pui San’s birthday was held a place called 7ate9~ A nice little bistro/bar/chillax place located at the ground floor of the Ascott just 3 minutes away from KLCC.

The interior is chic to say the least where different colored LEDs showered the place with an ambiance that only an aurora can produce. There was a live band there too, playing mostly jazz music, which made the place even more chillax.

Today was also the day where i annually meet Alex Chee, whom i first met a year ago, also at Pui San’s Party! The food was costly and the portions quite small. However, it tasted rich and i was full even before half way through my food.

Anthony ordered a bottle of wine and we shared it with William and Ming Hui and it tasted quite nice although i should have ordered red meat to go with the wine instead of the chicken. Pui San was a very happy girl indeed, having about 20 people celebrate her 21st with her. She was “extra” happy when she was given a flaming lambo which according to her, burned her throat because of it’s heat!

After the dinner, we headed to a club just 5 minutes away from 7ate9 called the Aloha Club. There, Danis’s dad was gracious enough to provide us with a private room complete with pool table and plasma television.

He even bought us a bottle of Henessey VSOP, which tasted superb, and offered to buy us beer as the Hennesey was drained quite fast~ He was really really nice to treat us all and i want to be in his position next time~ Capable of treating large amounts of people just for the sake of having to see happy faces!

I like the scene where Danis pulled out his reserve of courage to down a shot of the cognac together with me and Ming Hui~ 2 thumbs up! Kelvin even brought his Langkawi cigar to be shared by me and Alex Chee. It tasted woody and nice and i actually like it! We danced and we partied till about 1 in the morning, when we decided to leave Aloha, and not into a mamak stall to cool off, but to another club just below Aloha. Where we partied and dance more~ We finally retreated to a mamak at around 3 in the morning where we chilled, talk more cock, and ate~

I think it was the most fun i had for a very long time. So thank you Pui San, for giving me the opportunity to hang out with you guys and allowing me to join the festivities

Thank you the Wan family, for being so generous and friendly and homely to us!

Thank you all~ for making that night a special night worth remembering!

MPO

I found a reason to wear my suit again~ which was great as my suit was catching moth balls in my cupboard. Kelvin and Anthony were great company again to be with as we sat in the Petronas Philharmonic Hall listening to the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra being conducted by one Claus Peter Flor and featuring a string quartet named the Borodin Quartet. Conductor Claus orchestrated the music perfectly, showing enthusiasm and passion where he slapped the air in front of his and the violinist around his vincinity, gesturing appropriately wherever he feels pianissimo and fortissimo isn’t enough by his standards. The quartet’s leading violinist was one crazy fella as his left fingers raced here and there all over the fret board of his violin, as if it was some kind of hand held miniature piano on his hands. His technique with the bow was amazing as he could have started a fire with the speed he was going. All in all, perfect, and should be done more often by the public in general.

Happy Birthday Dora and Wayne!!!

We went to Itallianes to celebrate another year of life for 2 people. Itallianes again has set the mood for the night with it’s unique lighting and atmosphere. Couldn’t say much for the food as i thought it was a wee bit too much, got quite bloated at the end of it all. But Wayne and Dora should have stood on the chair and bow out the candles on their birthday cake with a straw, now tat would be plain innocent fun~bwahhahah~alas it was not meant to be~ After the dinner, we retired to the Apartment also at the Curve. I had a Long Island Ice Tea (ok la… girl’s drink la…) which kind of wasn’t strong enough for my liking. Maybe i’m leveling up in terms of alcohol tolerance! (Double Woo Hoo). We chatted till about midnight where we adjorned for the day~

Oh~ before all of this happened, we watched Wall-E! OMG… It is such a sweet movie la… Eff.. I’m being a chick now… But i enjoyed it greatly~ go watch!

Sky Bar

Should have blogged bout this last Friday~ but was too busy yet again. Went to Sky Bar, on the top of Trader’s Hotel KLCC, to celebrate Maggie’s… erm… 20 something birthday le~ Sorry yea Maggie~ As usual, i did my thing… trying to know these people more and more~ and found out that all of them are interesting… Maybe i find ALL people interesting… somehow that sounds bad, although i was taught that it was good. No matter~ Black label always made me happy, and it made things a bit more beautiful than usual. The view from the 33rd floor was spectacular. However, it was to be ruined by the fact that Sky Bar was too thrifty to install an air conditioning unit and we had a sauna of a time along with the whiskey. Still, good company, good friends, GOOD liquor =  great time~
